According to the latest weather maps, Jordan is set to experience a mild, cool, and humid autumn air mass during the first day of the astronomical fall on Sunday. Temperatures will drop slightly, falling about 3°C below their usual average – per ArabiaWeather.

The autumn equinox of 2024 will occur on Sunday, September 22, at 8:44 p.m. Amman time, marking the official start of the fall season in the Northern Hemisphere and spring in the Southern Hemisphere. Day and night will be of equal length worldwide.

Scattered Rain Shower

Coinciding with the equinox, The Kingdom will be affected by a cool air mass on Sunday. Early morning temperatures will be cool, becoming mild during the day, with pleasant conditions over the mountains and partly cloudy skies. There is a chance of scattered rain showers, particularly in northern regions, and moderate northwesterly winds will pick up after midday.

The weather will be relatively cool during the early night, becoming chilly late at night and early in the morning, especially over highlands and eastern plains. Humidity levels will increase, making for a damp atmosphere, and northwesterly winds will remain light to moderate, occasionally becoming gusty in some areas, especially in the early evening.
